Thơ Đường luật, một thể thơ với những thành tựu rực rỡ qua bao thế hệ. Trong suốt chiều dài lịch sử, sự kết tinh của những giá trị nhân văn sâu sắc và tinh hoa nghệ thuật độc đáo đã giúp thể thơ Đường luật ghi dấu ấn không nhỏ trong nền văn học Việt Nam và Trung Hoa, và cho đến nay nó đã trở thành một trong những biểu tượng văn hóa đặc sắc của dân tộc. Qua từng tác phẩm, chúng ta như được sống lại những thăng trầm của lịch sử, cảm nhận được tâm hồn, tư tưởng của người xưa. Tuy nhiên, việc tiếp cận và cảm thụ vẻ đẹp của những tác phẩm này đối với học sinh hiện nay lại không hề dễ dàng. Nhiều yếu tố như cách thức giảng dạy, sự khác biệt về ngôn ngữ và tư duy giữa hai thời đại, hay sự cạnh tranh của các loại hình giải trí hiện đại đã khiến cho việc tiếp nhận thơ Đường luật trở nên khó khăn hơn. Điều này thật đáng tiếc, bởi lẽ, thể thơ này không chỉ nằm trong chương trình môn học Ngữ văn nhà trường mà còn là cầu nối giúp chúng ta hiểu rõ hơn về bản sắc dân tộc và tìm thấy những giá trị tinh thần từ thời đại trước.

Thơ Đường luật mang một vẻ đẹp riêng biệt với tư duy nghệ thuật độc đáo. Khác với văn học hiện đại, thơ Đường luật sử dụng những hình tượng nghệ thuật trừu tượng, những điển cố, điển tích ước lệ, sử dụng chữ Hán, chữ Nôm khiến cho tác phẩm trở nên đa tầng, nhiều nghĩa. Điều này đòi hỏi người đọc, đặc biệt là học sinh phải có những kiến thức đủ sâu, khả năng tập trung vào bài học và khả năng cảm thụ tinh tế để có thể khám phá hết ẩn ức chứa trong từng câu thơ. Chính vì thế, việc tiếp cận và thưởng thức thơ Đường luật là một hành trình khám phá đầy thú vị nhưng cũng không kém phần gian nan.
